Scholars from the Chinese University of Hong Kong visit the center
Two professors, Andy and Tammy, and their students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong visited the Earthquake Research center for their Earth System Science Course (ESSC). They wanted to learn how the Earthquake Research center in NDHU conducts earthquake-related studies, be familiar with the Taiwan Earthquake Disaster Prevention System and be informed on what occurred during the Hualien earthquake on February 6th, 2018. The director of the Earthquake Research Center and the Dean of the department, Professor Zhang Wen Yan, welcomed the visitors and introduced them to the different disciplines and expertise within the department of Environmental Studies. When the introduction of the Hualien earthquake was presented, students were able to ask questions and share their opinions, demonstrating that the students were fundamentally knowledgeable on earthquake research.
