A Collaborative Summer Camp (2018)
Four institutions (Institute of Earth Sciences, Ocean University; Department of Environmental and Earth Sciences, Chung Cheng University; Department of Earth Sciences of Central University; and Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies of Dong Hua University) got together for a summer camp on geophysics. The summer camp was a great opportunity for students in any geophysical-related departments to explore the professional and practical knowledge on topics related to geology and geophysics. The summer camp was an eventful period that allowed students to know how to integrate knowledge from different fields, acquire practical skills, and operate various instruments and equipment. Specific methods and surveys were conducted such as geophysical monitoring, seismic surveys, geoelectric surveys, ground penetrating radar surveys, magnetotelluric surveys, micro-dynamic surveys, and other commonly applied methods. It was important that these concepts and applications were applicable in the future professionally.
